John Stege Joins Lawson-Hawks Employee Benefits Division as Vice President
MOUNTAIN VIEW CA. John Miller, Chief Executive Officer of Lawson-Hawks Insurance Associates, announced the recent addition of John Stege of Aptos, California as a Vice President and Broker for the Employee Benefits Division for the venerable Mountain View, CA based risk manager, insurance intermediary and broker.

Mr. Stege has over eleven years experience in providing customized professional Third Party Administration services in the group insurance and employee health and welfare plan marketplace. Initially responsible for the recruitment of municipalities, school districts and other Joint Powers Authorities in California, Mr. Stege rose to the levels of Director of Sales and Vice President of Sales with Superior Administrators, Inc., a Santa Ana, California based TPA. While at Superior Administrators, Mr. Stege assumed company-wide responsibility for all sales activities relating to group insurance and health plans for medical, dental, vision and life insurance plans nationwide.
Subsequently, Mr. Stege was recruited to a new start-up community bank in the San Francisco Bay area. At Global Trust Bank, he was responsible for all new business development as the bank grew in both asset size and customer base.
Said Mr. Stege of his newest venture: “I’m truly delighted to be affiliated with a customer-centric advisory organization like Lawson-Hawks. While my primary responsibilities will include new client solicitation and counseling in terms of options available to medium and large employers, I relish the opportunity to get back to my roots in the healthcare business and grow the LHI employee benefits model. Mr. Stege is married and makes Aptos, California his home. He graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree from Santa Clara University where he additionally played intercollegiate basketball. He is an avid skier and musician, playing drummer with a 50’s band throughout the greater Bay Area for several years.
