Lawson-Hawks Insurance Associates Acquires Christopher Lee Insurance Services of Carmel, California

Mountain View, C.A., January 25, 2011 – Lawson-Hawks Insurance Associates, Inc., a regional independent insurance broker based in Mountain View, California, today announced the acquisition of Christopher Lee Insurance Services of Carmel, California.  The terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

John Miller, Chief Executive Officer of Lawson-Hawks Insurance Associates, Inc. said of the acquisition, “As with virtually all of our acquisitions, the purchase of Christopher Lee Insurance Services had much more to do with the quality of the key people than with the addition of the other tangible and intangible assets.  We see in this purchase an opportunity to not only expand our Monterey-area operations and get an even larger foothold in professional liability coverage’s for the legal profession, but the timely addition of two unique professional talents in Mary and Chris Chancellor.  We expect that these two already very successful insurance professionals will bring an added dimension of expertise and senior level management experience to our growing Agency.   The fact that we can easily fold the Christopher Lee Insurance Services operation into our existing Monterey presence is simply icing on the cake”.
